
dykes and stocks to large intrusive bodies (Díaz
García, 1990; Abati, 2002; Castiñeiras, 2005). The
larger igneous massif corresponds to the A Silva
granodiorite, located NW of the Órdenes village
(Fig. 4), and dated at
c.
510 Ma (U-Pb in zircon;
Castiñeiras
et al.
, 2010). In the Cabo Ortegal
Complex, the IP Upper Units are represented by
the Cariño Unit, whose lithological constitution
is similar to that of the O Pino Unit (Fig. 3). It
is formed by a series of schists and paragneiss-
